Library patrons can check out a laptop, pick up a hold, check out a course reserve, borrow a tool – whatever option the library is offering – by authenticating the patron’s identity by touch screen, using a barcode scanner, QR code, mag stripe card, or NFC to authenticate the patron’s identity. The patron is then able to choose a device or tool, or pick up their requested items, and complete the transaction by removing the item(s) from the locker.
Lockers Anywhere can accept returns to a specific location (device loan and return), or as a one-time dispensing unit for Holds, traditional loans, or storage.

- Customizable locker sizes, base unit contains 12 lockers, touch screen display, and locking controller. Additional units can be added with additional 20 locker units, module can be extended up to 6 x 20 locker unit, including 112 lockers. Bigger units will need additional base unit to balance load.
Cloud based SW platform, creates flexible and scalable platform to operate unit. Basic locker operations can be extended to cover any future needs customer wishes to create.
Cloud SW is typically integrated with customers own User Authentication system, device inventory. System can also use built in User and Device registry for access and inventory management. Integration to payment solutions can be offered.
Staff side SW is designed for staff to manage devices, see transaction history and usage statistics. Staff can also use browser for operational actions such as item check-out or check-in for a given user. In addition to the physical master locker key, browser app can open individual locks or all locks at once in case of emergency. All check-out and check-in transactions are listed in self-checks view, and notifications, reports, user reported issues are listed under messages view. Access to devices is from device view. Locker groups, such as ‘PC’, ‘Mac’, ‘iPad’, ‘Android’ content, item and lock binding all is done in browser side.
